π WHAT TO BRING π
The weather in Southeast Alaska changes fast. To stay comfortable while reeling in the big one, we recommend the βlayeringβ approach!
Layers, Layers, Layers: Start with a moisture wicking base, add a fleece or wool mid-layer, and finish with a waterproof outer shell
Footwear: Waterproof boots (like βAlaska Sneakersβ / Xtratufs) or non-slip waterproof shoes.
Warm Accessories: A knit hat (beanie) and gloves, even in the summer months.
β Essential Clothing
Polarized sunglasses: Essential for cutting the glare off the water.
Sunscreen & Lip Balm: Reflection off the water can cause unexpected sunburns!
Camera/Smartphone: To capture the catch and potential whale or eagle sightings.
Fishing License: Ensure you have your Alaska fishing license and King Salmon stamp (if applicable) ready before boarding. Fishing license can be purchased online at https://www.adfg.alaska.gov
β Personal Gear
Space is limited and our calendar fills up quickly, especially during peak salmon and halibut runs. Donβt miss your chance to fish from the finest 32-foot platform in the fleet.
